What is
The Healing Collaborative ?

The Healing Collaborative is a series of Group sessions targeted for individuals to: Discuss Grief, build self-esteem and learn how to regulate emotions.  These sessions are facilitated by myself and include a co-facilitator to elaborate on specialized treatment modalities.  Through the use of Art, Music, Play and Energy work the Group will learn how to express feelings, make connections and learn to laugh again.

Approaches & Goal

Since COVID Isolation hit the country I have seen an increase in the need for emotional support.  We are all having to learn new ways to connect and many of us are grieving the  loss of a family member or dear friend.   A Common theme that I am hearing is that there are.. No Resources Out There.

- I am identifying a need for individuals to understand themselves  better and have begun this journey personally.  Through my own practice I have been able to incorporate several healing modalities that I would like to share with others.  What I would like to incorporate into my practice is a Healing Collaborative.

About Me

Greetings!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years' experience in the field. I am licensed in the State of Maine as well as Florida.

I started out serving the Autistic Population in Piscataquis County.  I provided an interactive treatment modality counting levels of social engagement in Autistic Youth.  Working with Youth I learned the importance and basics of building meaningful relationships. I became quite skilled in interactive play therapy.

After working with the Autistic population I graduated into the more complex world of Treatment Foster Care.  Through this experience I was trained in evidence-based treatment modalities such as:   CBT, Positive Parenting, DBT- mindfulness, family systems, and solution focused therapy.  I currently work with several resource parents and am working towards a MATCH Certification.

However, through my personal life I began to experience the emotional journey of a declining parent.  That is when I moved to Florida and where I started my life as a medical Social Worker.  In Florida I became licensed as a Therapist and worked for Hospice.  I worked closely on a medical team with wonderful doctors and nurses.  Through this experience I assisted individuals in applying for medicare/medicaid, assisted nurses with admissions and offered bereavement support.  I became familiar with most of the assisted living facilities,  rehabilitation centers and hospitals in Lee County FL.

Recently I have moved back to Piscataquis County and have started my journey as a loving Grandmother.  My vision is to start a peaceful healing environment in a gathering space on my land.  I am currently looking to provide intimate groups for Adults/Teens and Children.  Through this collaboration I am hoping people make meaningful connections and perhaps gain some new friends.

So feel free to message me for inquiries and Let's Connect.

I am located in the Beautiful town of Monson Maine.  Feel free to stop by and hear the Loons.
